Here you will find a variety of special gifts.  Virtually all of these items are handcrafted by Kurt Wyberanec in his personal workshop.  Whether you are looking for a simple keepsake box or an ornate artistic piece you are sure to be pleased.  Kurt has created everything from traditional jewelry boxes and antique lap desks to modern design signature clocks and journals.  However, one of the very special and poplar items are KWPENS these are finely handcrafted wooden and acrylic writing instruments of the highest quality.  They offer not only a unique elegant look and feel but also terrific gift ideas.  KWPENS range from $25 to $75 with quantity discounts and hardwood cases available.  They make the perfect holiday gift especially for offices and also work great as promotional items.  Below are some brief descriptions of only a handful of available items, and you'll be glad to know that we keep a decent inventory of the pens on hand at any given time.  If you have a special gift in mind or like the idea of a artistic special gift for someone or for yourself please write us and we will be glad to work with you towards creating your unique item.

This is a very special jewelry or keepsake box created for a very special customer.  It's body is handcrafted from extremely high figure Ziricote, with a spectacular flamed maple top that literally looks like it is on fire (The pictures do no justice) then there is a Tulipwood heart inlay that was cut by hand.  The box measures approx. 9x6x6.  This item can be recreated as is or with different materials.

These are some lovely gift ideas, they are bookmarks made from highly flamed maple.  They can be either clear coated with lacquer or sanded smooth for a satin finish.  Other woods are available, pretty much any wood found in the wood section under materials and finishes which is located on the products page can be used.  Prices range accordingly.

This handcrafted journal was actually created for the same special customer who bought the jewelry box at the top of the page.  It finely crafted from veneered very thin Birch plywood with a gorgeous solid Tulipwood binding.  It is topped off with a fine black leather lacing and copper colored parchment paper that was custom holed and includes approx. 150 pages.  Similar examples can be ordered at any time.

The above are some fine examples of KWPENS.  The first is a Cross style ball point pen that uses genuine Cross mechanisms.  This particular pen is made from Box Elder Burl and has gold hardware.  As seen this pen is $40.  The second is an El Grande Style Fountain Pen finished from blue and black acrylic acetate with gold hardware.  As shown it is $45.  The final pens are our Signature line pen.  This is a rather large, but extremely comfortable pen made from the highest quality materials including Platinum plating that is guaranteed for life.  The caps of these Signature pens do not mount on the back when in use.  These range from $50 to $75.  We offer a wide variety of pens, and these are just a few examples.  If you are interested please email us for more images and styles as well as a full price list.  Many woods in addition to those found in the wood section are avaialable for pen making and there is a very large selection of acrylics.  If you have a particular wood or color in mind please ask and we can provide you with some photo examples.

Prices range from $25 to $400 and hardwood cases are avail for $8 - $20.  All pens sold without cases come with either a Velvet slipcover or a plastic case.  (Please note, large style pens only fit in either custom cases or plastic tubes, some photos shown may be stock photos but are excellent examples of what can be made)

The above is another jewelry box in a simple yet elegant understated design.  This particular example was created for Lida Axhushi and is crafted from Highly figured Ziricote and Tulipwood.  It has a simple recessed lid handle and measures approx. 9x5x3.  A word from Kurt (You may have noticed that I like to use these two woods for small projects.  They offer a truly beautiful contrast and Tulipwood is probably my favorite wood.  It is not only beautiful but is a joy to work as well.  When cut it lets off a wonderful fragrance that smells flowery and can be sanded extremely smoothly.  It virtually does not need a finish since it is so dense and has natural oils but usually is for pretection.  Look for examples of this in my secret upcoming projects which will be revealed later this year)  The box above can be created from virtually any wood and at a very reasonable cost.

Here we have a classic item, the business card holder for the desk.  This particular holder is crafted from Macassar Ebony, and will hold approximately 10 cards.  It can be crafted from an wood available.
