There are three styles of cabinets available from KW CABS: Standard, Special, and Custom.  All three offer many shared design aspects as well as a unique look and application that will suit the most discriminating player. 

     Two things immediately stand out from other speaker cabinets: the dovetail construction and the innovative elegant porting system used.  This simple yet extremely effective system of porting is one of the main features that lets the KW CAB sound so huge.  These cabinets sound just as large, yet considerably clearer and more pronounced than even most 4x12 cabinets.  A lot of thinking went into deciding how much porting to use and what would yield the best overall bass response.  Each model has it's own porting characteristics which best support the genre they are intended for.  However, they are not strictly assigned to only one type of music.  For example, I did not create a cabinet that will only sound good when playing clean jazz but rather one that sounds incredible playing clean jazz chords but still sounds really good playing heavy power chords.  The special line takes these standard features a step further, with some slight variations on this porting including triangulated signature W design, as well as a few other added features such as decorative inlay and dual color options.

All KW cabinets have removable backs that allow them to operate both as closed and open back designs.  The porting system complements this greatly as well.  Many open back cabinets can offer that really nice airy and snappy quality that many clean and blues players like, but they usually do so at a cost of losing some bass response, or even worse, having  "flappy" sounding bass.  Using unique proportions in the removable back as well as the porting allows much of the bass frequency to remain instead of being lost to the back of the cabinet and losing bass projection. 

     All cabinets offer top notch hardware and electronics.  Heavy duty rubber feet are standard with a variety of casters available as an option.  A host of different handles are available on all custom orders, most without an additional charge.  Standard and Special lines utilize recessed cut handles for ease in carrying as well as esthetic value.  Super high quality Monster^® cable and 24k gold contacts are standard on all cabinets.  And speaking of electronics, you have tons of flexibility.  Each cabinet comes wired for 16 & 4 ohm Mono, stereo 8 ohms, as well as an extension jack to link to another cabinet. Standard and Special cabinets have select speakers chosen for their inherent sound characteristics, but there are wide variety of speakers available.
